adding wallet app to watch os 8 screen

2021-12-02 Thread Simon A Fogarty

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to add the wallet app to the face /
complication of the watch os 8 avaiable faces?

I'm using the infergraph modular face and would like to add the wallert to it,

But it's not an option for me.

Cheers for any info folks might have.

Cheers.

Hello, yes it is accessible. You open the app insert your phone number insert
the code that gets texted to your phone number. And then you can create or join
any groups that people have available or text individual contacts.

apple watch 101, but I didn't like them much because they are really out of

RE: Help with adding a face or complications?

2021-12-02 Thread Simon A Fogarty
Hi Kay,

I would suggest using your phone and the watch app on it.

Find the faces or face you want to use,
Then listen to voiceover which should say double tap to edit

You open the face you want and then the first thing you can change is the colour
Then and it is a lengthy list,
Select the colour
And then keep moving right along the list there will be each of the different
apps or complications you wish to setup,

Then once you have sorted that out,
There is a button at he right hand end
To select that face as your watchs default face.

If you use your watch,
Then flick one finger down the screen and you will / should hear an option for
customise it should be the third flick down,

Tap on that,
Find the face you want from either the ones shown or under the add button,

Then flick up / down to find the edit button,
Tap on that,
And then flick left / right to the different complications / items on the face,

Once you get to say the colour which is again first,
Tap on the colour list and you should get a long list again of colours from
which you tap on the colour you want.

Then move on to the different items around the face,

Note though that some of the faces have sub items which can be in the top and
bottom corners as well as the 12, 3, 6, 9 and central points on the watch face.

And you might need to play around to figure out where you are putting what.

Hope this helps.

HI all,
I have the mystic access tutorial for the Apple watch, but they are using a
series 4 and some things are different. That isn't too much of a problem
because I can figure out what I need to do. Except with one thing. I have a
series 7 and What they say to do to add a face, is not what is happening on
this watch or the watch app. I have figured out how to change the colors on my
current face, but not how to change complications or how to add a face. Could
someone help me? Thanks much.

Here is what I found in an Apple support article:

To find a specific app, tap the Search field at the top of the screen, then
type (Apple Watch Series 7 only), or use dictation or Scribble to enter the
name of the app. You can also browse trending categories of apps by tapping a
category.

So it would appear that unless you bought a new series 7 Apple Watch you can't
search except to use the work-around Richard described or search on your iPhone
and then install the app on the watch.

The only problem with that is that there is no search field to tap on. This is
why I asked the question.

Hi Carolyn,

It's like having a little phone on your wrist,

About an inch and a half give or take square on your wrist,

I think you'd be fine using it
And yes I believe apple vis have docs on it or at least the operating system.

Good luck and hope you enjoy it when you get it.

Hi Kay,

If you opened he app store once and did the continue etc
Then press the digital crown to go back to your apps menu on the watch and then
open the app store again and the search option should be there the second thing
after the app store in the top left corner.

Hope this helps.

And take your time

I still haven’t found half thethings this watch does
It’s got a shit load of stuff you’ll probably never never or worry about.

Think of it as a digital maze,
And you’re trying to find your way through it.

I get lost every time I go looking.

Help with adding a face or complications?

2021-12-02 Thread Kay Malmquist
HI all,
I have the mystic access tutorial for the Apple watch, but they are using a
series 4 and some things are different. That isn't too much of a problem
because I can figure out what I need to do. Except with one thing. I have
a series 7 and What they say to do to add a face, is not what is happening
on this watch or the watch app. I have figured out how to change the colors
on my current face, but not how to change complications or how to add a
face. Could someone help me? Thanks much.

So far it hasn't been that hard to learn. Apple vis does have podcasts on
apple watch 101, but I didn't like them much because they are really out of
date and much stuff is not applicable. Hadley has a pretty good workshop on
the apple watch. Mystic Access has a good tutorial and it is $39.

It has been suggested to me to get an Apple watch.

Are they easy to learn to use?

Does Applevis have any tutorials on them?

Here is what I found in an Apple support article:

To find a specific app, tap the Search field at the top of the screen, then
type (Apple Watch Series 7 only), or use dictation or Scribble to enter the
name of the app. You can also browse trending categories of apps by tapping a
category.

So it would appear that unless you bought a new series 7 Apple Watch you can't
search except to use the work-around Richard described or search on your iPhone
and then install the app on the watch.

Yes guys, another apple watch question. I am listening to the Mystic
Access tutorial on the apple watch and because Lisa is using a series 4
watch, there are some differences. One thing I noticed on her watch is when
she goes in to the app store on the watch, there is a search button. When I
do this, there is just a list of items but no search button. Where is it ?
Thanks for any help.

RE: How to search?

2021-12-02 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Here is what I found in an Apple support article:

To find a specific app, tap the Search field at the top of the screen, then
type (Apple Watch Series 7 only), or use dictation or Scribble to enter the
name of the app. You can also browse trending categories of apps by tapping a
category.

So it would appear that unless you bought a new series 7 Apple Watch you can't
search except to use the work-around Richard described or search on your iPhone
and then install the app on the watch.

Did you follow the instructions and tab to the spot where you could either

You are only using iTunes to allow you to paste the tones onto the phone.
Apple no longer requires you to sync tones…

If you search online for mp3 to m4r conversion, one result is
https://convertio.co/mp3-m4r/

I have not used it as I have GoldWave and use it because I know it but it has
several steps involved, so wouldn’t recommend it for a newcomer.

I’m sure there are other conversion programs/sites.

Once you have them in m4r format, Here is mark Taylor's instructions on copying
Ringtones with iOS 12.7 and later.

In iTunes 12.7 for Windows, it is no longer necessary to actually use the file
menu to import ringtones. In fact,

attempting to do so will gain you nothing. (smile). So, to add a ringtone to
your device, using Windows Explorer, copy the file to memory using the

standard windows command of Control+C.

Next, with iTunes 12.7 in focus, your iOS device attached to your PC and
selected, using standard jaws navigation commands, place focus on the Tones

tab, located in the iTunes Sidebar. Oh, make sure that you have iTunes set to
display the Sidebar.

Now, once you have the Tones tab selected, press the Tab key on your keyboard
until you land in the list view of currently installed custom

ringtones. Then, simply use the paste command, Control+V, to add the ringtone
to your device.

By the way, you will notice that, as you tab around the tones area, you will
land on an actions button. You can use this button to act on the currently

selected ringtone, such as playing it.

To delete a ringtone, you must place focus on the particular ringtone you wish
to remove from your device, and press the delete key. Neither the

Application button nore the Jaws right-mouse click will work, at this time.

Even the Actions button will not offer a delete choice. The only way to remove
the ringtone, at the time of this writing is to either press the

Delete key on the keyboard, or press the right mouse button on your mouse
and/or touch pad.

If you already have an iPhone then learning the basics of how to use an Apple
Watch will be pretty easy. You'll just need to pick up a few new gestures
concerning the crown and the other button on the side, and you'll be off and
running. The Apple Watch has a lot of features though, so it'll take you some
time learning how to choose and setup your watch faces, try out the different
apps and so on, but you'll find it productive pretty much right out of the box.

Whether you should get one or not will depend on what you'll be using it for
and whether the extra convenience of having an Apple Watch is worth the cost. I
have one and I'm glad I do, but I'm not sure I'm using it for anything I
couldn't use my iPhone for.

It has been suggested to me to get an Apple watch.

Are they easy to learn to use?

Does Applevis have any tutorials on them?

Yes guys, another apple watch question. I am listening to the Mystic Access
tutorial on the apple watch and because Lisa is using a series 4 watch, there
are some differences. One thing I noticed on her watch is when she goes in to
the app store on the watch, there is a search button. When I do this, there is
just a list of items but no search button. Where is it ? Thanks for any help.
