RE: Charger for iPhone12 and Apple Watch SE2?

2023-02-13 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
MagSafe is everything from the iPhone 12 and up.
I have a Belkin charging stand which has a larger round pad for the iPhone (it
is MagSafe so the iPhone sticks to it) and beside it is the typical smaller
Apple Watch disk. This however is not necessarily suitable for travelling, more
of a desk/night table stand you put there and leave it.
But if you look on Google or Amazon for "MagSafe dual travel chargers" you find
plenty of options.
I also just saw an article on the News app under the consumer electronics
section where they mentioned a single 3-in-1 cable which has two Lightning ends
and an Apple Watch disk on one end and a single USB plug on the other end, not
sure if it was an older, larger USB-A or a USB-C plug. If I find it again I'll
post the link.

Best regards,
Sieghard

Subject: RE: Charger for iPhone12 and Apple Watch SE2?

I know I’m not helping much, but when I was recently looking around for a
wireless charging pad for my iPhone 11, I did see several options. Everything I
came across assumed you’d be hooking the charger you got with your watch into
the charging stand. There were also a lot of options that only supported
MagSafe devices, which I think is the iPhone 14 and up. The bottom line for me
was that I just didn’t find what I was looking for, so I got an inexpensive
wireless charging stand from Belkin and just keep using the charger that came
with my Apple Watch SE. Hopefully you’ll get some good recommendations, but if
not, I’d just suggest reading things carefully and looking at reviews in
general.

RE: Apple Watch SE2 Strap?

2023-02-13 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
I would recommend a Milanese Loop band which you can get from Amazon for a
fraction of the price as what Apple charges for theirs.
That is a very subtle metal band with magnetic closure, you just pull the end
with the magnet and loosen it so you can pull the watch over your wrist and
when you put it back on you stick your hand through the band (it doesn't open
up completely), pull the band tight and let the magnet snap in place.
In my opinion it is the way to go although I am sure others like leather bands,
rubber ones, polyester ones etc.
Search on Amazon Canada for Apple Watch SE milanese loop band" and you'll find
them, you can get silver, black and probably other colours/finishes.

RE: VoiceOver not reading names of channels in SiriusXM app

2023-02-13 Thread Jessica Barr
Hi Alia,
I think these channels have unique names associated with them. For example, one
of the channels I heard a promo for is called The Trap, and I can get it on my
Echo devices by telling her to play The Trap on SiriusXM. However, the app just
says "mid-2000s hip-hop". The app actually doesn't show any of the channel
names, but I was specifically asking about the ones that are only available on
the app because I can get the names of the others from the website if I need to.

I got my first ever Apple Watch today.
It is SE2 and I got it from local Apple Store.
One of the Store clerks put the band in it and set it up too without Voiceover.
Now when I brought it home, I don’t know how to open this watch-box.
It is an oblong box with rings on either end of the box but I have no idea how
to open this.
May I know how to open it?
Otherwise, I’d call Be My Eyes tomorrow morning.

Re: VoiceOver not reading names of channels in SiriusXM app

2023-02-13 Thread alia robinson
that’s what they’re called extra. they’re just channel mashups. so the name of
it is extra whatever your description says, like extra pop etc.

rom your provider.

Thanks much, Anna.

Just another quick question; I am buying the watch from the Apple Store, should
I tell my cell-phone provider that now I got
Apple Watch too, or not necessary?

Thanks!

I?m assuming this is your first Apple Watch. In that case, you will need to
pair it with your phone, either by lining it up
with the camera or entering a code. Open the Books app and search for Apple
Watch User Guide. Make sure you get the one for
version 9.0. There are detailed instructions on how to set up the watch using
VoiceOver.

Best,

.

Hi, Group.

I am expecting Apple Watch SE2 soon.

How should I set it up when it is out of the box, please?

Thanks!
