redfin is pretty accessible it has more details I think but I never worked with
Zillow before. Hope all is well

whether I get a phone call or make a phone call voiceover dies I had to find
somebody to shut off the phone after I turn off voiceover and turn it back on
and I’d order for it to work. Worst bug ever.

Re: Airpods Question

2018-01-04 Thread Esubalew Johnston
Hi Karla, you do that going into the Bluetooth settings click on AirPods and
then there is options we can all me either have one of them going forward and
the other one going back or having one of them as play pause button or the
other one forward or back only it doesn’t work like the regular Apple
headphones. Hopefully this is helpful. Good luck.

Re: amazon echo podcasts?

2015-12-08 Thread Esubalew Johnston
Hi, you should download the app called Iblink radio app and look for
podcasts and then look for mystic access podcast and there should be a
program called amazon echo. I hope this helps. I have it it is pretty
good but I think it is to much. I believe it should be 80 dollars
instead of 179 dollars.

Re: Can you make Google maps more verbose?

Hi, Google Maps is about 95 percent accessible. You have to fiddle
with it before you get what you want. But you have to make sure you
select on what you want. First choose directions then select driving,
transit, walking, cycling. then either typing your address or go in
your history. then it should give you options.

around this, however is VoiceOver active during a Viber call? Because if
so, I will have to use headphones just so I don't accidentally do

Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

 Hi Everyone,

I am asking this question for a friend. Her daughter is going to Mexico.
The hotel has wi-fi available. Is there an accessible app that would allow
her daughter to text and/or call from Mexico to avoid international and
roaming charges? Her daughter is not visually impaired. If there is such
an app, do both parties have to have the app installed? Or, is it possible
for the kids to install such an app on their phone and my friend (who is
visually impaired) to receive the text on her Iphone without an additional
 app?

 They are using 4s phones.

 Any help would be appreciated.

 Regards,

 Lynda

Re: Navigon

2013-04-10 Thread Esubalew Johnston
Hi, I used it again yesterday. But I used the car option and it did
great actually even though I was walking it told me that I was going 2
miles an hour. It also told me turn by turn voice direction.

On 4/10/13, Sieghard Weitzel siegh...@live.ca wrote:
 Hello Eileen,

I haven't used Navigon much lately, when I am in my home town of 6000 I
don't need it. However, I did briefly put in a route earlier and it did not
even ask me which navigation mode to use. Anyhow, if you go to Settings and
Route you do have a setting there and you can still choose Pedestrian as
well as Pedestrian with Voice Announcement. I assume what this means is
 that
whichever setting you choose here is the one which will be active when you
choose Pedestrian if you are given the choice between Vehicle and
 Pedestrian.

I also noticed that once I had started my route and I double tapped on
option, that you can change the route profile here on the fly. This is
 quite
handy because for some reason navigon took the Turn by Turn List out of the
options menu for Pedestrian navigation, but it is there for Vehicle
navigation. If I want to look at the entire route and which directions I am
going to get, I can relatively easily switch to Vehicle, then bring up
Options again and pull up the Turn by Turn List. Afterwards I can go back
and change the profile to Pedestrian again. It's not ideal, but it's a
work-around. I really don't know why the Turn by Turn List choice is not
there under the options when you have selected Pedestrian.

 Hi Seigar,

When this topic was first posted, I opened Navigon, set a rote, and tried
 to
set it to pedestrian with voice. However, the only option I found was
pedestrian. I remebered in previous versions that there were 2 options:
one with and one without voice. Has the pedestrian with voice been
 removed
or is it located in a different option? Maybe this is why no voice
turn-by-turn directions are being announced . An explanations may be
necessary to set up this option.

 Thanks in advance.

 Hi,

I mean no offense, but you must have set something incorrectly or you
are not putting in a route. Navigon will not give you any voice
feedback if you just open the app and walk around. If you are at your
house wherever that is and you want to go to let's say the Best Buy
which is a mile away, then you have to create a route and either put
in the street address of the Best Buy or you have to see if you can
find it as a Point of Interest maybe under Shopping. If you have
Around Me you could see if you find it in there, then tap on the
Route button and then if Navigon is on your phone you can pick
Navigon as a routing application and Around Me will send the
information to Navigon and all you have to do is tap on Start to
start your route. Then once you start walking, Navigon will give you
voice directions, but it will still not announce cross streets and so on,
it will only tell you where you have to turn.

Of course you also have to make sure you have downloaded the maps for
your area/state, that for best results you have the speed profile set
to Pedestrian with Voice Announcement and that you select the TTS
voice, not the human voice. The human voice will tell you, for
 example, Turn left in
100 metres, but only the TTS voice would say, for example, Turn left
onto Main Street in 100 metres.

Raul did a Podcast on how to properly enter addresses into Navigon, I
 think it's on Applevis.

 Sieghard
