The story is that with much more use of AI, Siri will improve in iOS 18. I'm
sure it is a priority for them to improve it. It keeps getting worse for now.

I would use Voice Vista for at least part of the strategy, and set a beacon at
your front door. I think BlindSquare has a similar capability, perhaps many gps
apps for the blind do.

In an attempt to improve my writing and perhaps to assist others, I am at
long last playing around with functions such as autoCorrect and Predictive
text. I really don't get autoCorrect. In Notes on my 12 pro still running
iOS16, sometimes I get a bubble, mostly I don't. It doesn't seem like
The subject line pretty much says it, I'm trying to get clear on what
context(s) the Pitch Change quick setting affects. As a secondary question,
how should I have been able to figure this out?

A while back I saw an iClever keyboard and thought it was pretty
well-designed. Can anybody comment on these keyboards, or is there another
one people like better for any reason? I will want to use it with iOS but
also with my BS6 Android tablet, which will be a definite experiment.

Sieghard, are you telling me, and I think you are, that you get good Windows
screen reader performance with your Logitek H800 headset with a wireless
dongle? I can’t stand JAWS with any Bluetooth headsets I’ve tried, so this
could really be great!

I want to do something a bit unorthodox: I want to be able
to wear a wired Earpod in bed, have an alarm sound, and have it sound
through the earpod and not through the phone speaker. As far as I can tell,
this can't be done with the default alarm app. Since most people won't have
At the beginning of the season, links for the audio feeds didn't work. But they
have worked now for some time. You go into the More tab, then activate radio
feeds and they're all there.

It impresses me too, but I’d like remedial guidance with this. Sometimes I get
the result I want, sometimes I don’t get the whole page. I tend to scan single
sheets when I need to sign something and then return the document. I don’t use
a stand. I turn edge detection on even though the cryptic
Can anybody share good resources for learning about widgets: finding them,
navigating among them, adding them to different screens, ones people find
useful? I know some of this but want a better grasp. When I tried in 16.0 to
add widgets to the Lock screen, I was not at all successful.

I'm playing around with Music Recognition and at the same time trying to get
a grasp on the finer points of managing notifications.
When I enable Music Recognition in control Center, and it does its amazing
(to me) job of recognizing almost all obscure songs I throw at it, the event

I mostly understand how to move apps around the home screen, to and from the
App library, but I do not always get the results I want.
I have a row on my home screen that is empty except for one app. I want to
place an app to the right of that one lone app on that row. I can't do it
On my iPhone 12Pro, I have three keyboards set up for English, French and
Spanish. On my basic iPad running iPadOs 16.1, I don't have those other
keyboards active, and I can switch between normal and Emoji keyboards. I
looked at Keyboard settings under General and didn't see an Emoji keyboard.
