iPhone battery status with ios10.21

2017-01-25 Thread shuang . angel
Hi all

Since I've updated to the latest iOS software, 10.21, a fully charge 100%
battery will only last for around 7 hours with moderate use. Usually with the
same usage, it can last up to a day or a day and the half at times.
Can i know, if anyone else having this issue?

Thanks

Beacon for Blindsquare

2016-05-03 Thread shuang . angel
Hi there

Recently I have a conversation with one of the orientation and mobility
instructor. We were discussing about how mainstream technology change the
independent of blind people etc.
He mention something about a some sort of beacon for Blindsquare that will
allow indoor navigation.
Anyone have any idea what he is talking about? I did a quick Google search, but
I don't seems to get any hit on it.

Thanks

Cheers

Thanks very much for the replies.
I'll take a close look at the iq6 or iq7.
Someone mention that you have some samples recording, can you please share
 the link again?
The Rode IXQ L mike is around $120USD, and is pretty similar with the iq5 in
 specs.

As far as for basic recording, honestly, i think the iphone mike and the
earpod's mike is good enough for everyday basic use. If not, you can look
around $50USD mark for things like the Tascam, Olympus, etc etc. But again,
those entry level mike are generally good for voice and speech recording, not
 some field recording.
Although, i have been using the internal mike for field recording, and live
performance. Of course, the quality is not great, but it is not overly
 horible either.

Wow. I really don't know about recording anything, and don't really need to
cover a wide area, like a hall or anything. I'm not doing any kind of
professional level recording. I just want something that sounds better than
the internal microphone on the iPhone. Which mic do you think would be a good
fit, then? I don't necessarily want to post process or anything like that.
Would the IQ mic be too much Mic, then? Do you think I would be better served
 with something a little simpler?

 Thanks,

For my taste, the IQ5 is a bit too much of a pinched sound. The 6 is XY and
the stereo spread is nice. The 7 is MS and if you use the HandiRec app from
Zoom, and have a way to post process. You can control the stereo spread and
even make it wider. I like the sound of the 7 best and it is the quietest.

Re: External Battery Lightening Cable

2015-03-01 Thread shuang . angel
That is true. Another factor though might be how fast it takes to charch the
battery pack and how quick it charch up the phone.
For my 5000mah battery pack gets warm pretty quickly when it's charging the
phone.
Too bad, Amazon doesn't ship battery packs to Australia, and we got limited
choice and rather expensive choice.

Thanks for these links and reviews. I'd be curious to hear what you think

[Apple MFi Certified] EagleTec OnTop Ultra-Slim Portable External Battery
Charger Pack with Lightning Connector for iPhone 5, 5C, 6, 6 Plus, iPod, and
 iPad with Brainy Technology (Black)

When I looked it up on Amazon.com it mentions it has a capacity of 22,500
MAH and is business card size with a thickness of 0.3 inches which converts
to 7.62 mm, the diameter of a 30 Caliber bullet for those who are gun savvy
or compared to the iPhone 5S and 6, it is basically the thickness of a 5S
which is 7.6mm thick and it would be a bit thicker than an iPhone 6 which is
only 6.9mm. Anyhow, this sounds interesting, but I'd be interested in how
long the integrated Lightning cable is. Is it basically the length of the
unit which is about 3 inches or is it somehow coiled around the charger and
is a bit longer. If you do end up ordering this maybe you could measure the
cable length or ask somebody to do so and post it here.
