Yes, While I mentioned Access Note, I do agree with Richard about Voice Dream Writer. It is accessible, and one can mark up, or in this case, mark down, text files and export them to a number of formats including HTML, where headers that are marked up in the text are honored by VoiceOver and other screen readers. This is really nice for being able to jump around in a file and find exactly what you want. Microsoft word is free and is great. You can use dropbox or one drive to import or export your files. If you want all the extra features of Microsoft Word, you must have a office 365 account. I suggest you try this application before investing on the other applications if you're looking for free.
