Hi Eric, I also have list recorder on my I phone 5. And I've just started learning how to use it.But right now I have nothing to say about the app to improve it just yet. Once I have used the app some after I learn how to use it then I will give my feedback on the list recorder app to improve it even better than what it is now. I do like the app but I haven't used it enough to give any feedback on the app just yet. Take care. Lori and the Gipper -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. Hi Ric and others, Sorry I am so late returning to this thread. List Recorder is definitely still being developed and supported. for the app to continue to improve I think we simply need to let the developer know what the most important features we want are. I know that she was looking into both Dropbox and iCloud as possible areas of improvement or additions. She can be contacted through the app for support or ideas. Her commitment to the app and the population it is designed for is rock solid. The app continues to improve due to user input and support. I support the app as a volunteer because I rely on it for my work and personal productivity. It is available in many languages thanks to volunteer translators. It is a quality professional recording and note taking app that is truly driven by user feedback and a respectful drive to make a valuable app for the visually impaired. I have summarized and shared the feedback from this thread. Don't hesitate to email the developer with feedback and feature requests. The fact that people are relying on this app matters to this developer and the team of volunteers. Eric Caron On Mar 29, 2014, at 1:16 AM, Rick Alfaro rick.alf...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Eric. RE: Audio Recording Apps
Hi, the greater than and less than buttons are forward and rewind buttons which you can relabel. If you are playing a file and tap them, they go to the next or previous file. If you double tap and hold them, they scan through the file. Very nice app. Neal -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Annie Skov Nielsen Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2014 12:18 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Audio Recording Apps Hi Richard. But, there is a vertical line and a greater-than vertical line button and others that are less than obvious. So, did you have someone assist with relabeling the buttons? Hi, I had to cut the bottom off of one of my cases to make the iQ5 work. Even when one of the edges of the case protruded a little bit further than the exact bottom of the phone it would often not connect. RE: Audio Recording Apps
Hi, You can save list recorder files to drop box. After you have recorded a file and while still in that file, Click on Share, and then on Audio options. You then click on Open in, and all the aps that will allow this file to be opened in it will appear in a list. So, you might get other recording apps if you have them, but drop box is also in the list. You then click on Save to drop box. One warning. When you click on Audio options, it takes a while for the list of all apps to populate, depending on how many you have, but it will eventually give you the list, and perhaps quite quickly if you don't have 6 other recording apps as I do. Sorry I did not get to this sooner. I hope it helps someone. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Richard Turner Sent: Sunday, March 30, 2014 8:46 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Audio Recording Apps You are right, of course. I just purchased List Recorder because it's such a well thought out recording app for anyone wanting to take notes and categorize them. I wish the dev would continue development on it as I would really like to see DropBox support but even without that, it's a fantastic note taking app. and I'm very glad I purchased it. Hi Annie, I down loaded handyRecorder and it does record with the built-in mic, but the buttons are not labeled in anything close to a helpful way for a VoiceOver user. I think I figured out that the button labeled o is record. The stop off and play off, are the stop and play buttons. But, there is a vertical line and a greater-than vertical line button and others that are less than obvious. So, did you have someone assist with relabeling the buttons? Re: Audio Recording Apps
Hi Rick and all, I also just purchased list recorder yesterday and I was reading the interduction of the seven different things that list recorder can do. I haven't tried it out yet but I will but it looks like it's a great app.I'll can't wait to see how it does when I recored a meeting. Take care. No, it doesn't have direct full DropBox support. It's sort of a round about way by using save as via the sharing menu as I recall. Re: Audio Recording Apps
HandyRcorder works with the iPhone built-in app, though some of the settings are only for the Zoom iQ5 external microphone which costs $99.99. Amazon and Guitar Center sell it, and probably many more places. I read a very positive review, and the only negative thing it said about the Zoom iQ5 is that it doesn't work with most cases unless they are very thin. So I'm sure it would not work with the Ottorbox defender or the Griffin Surviver. You would have to take the phone out of those kinds of cases in order to use that microphone.
