Re: If Passcode is ennabled and screen curtain is on, is the Emergency button on the Passcode screen viewable by sighted helpers?

2015-03-17 Thread Christopher Hallsworth
No. Screen curtain makes the screen totally blank, a bit like a window
looking blank when the curtain is closed.

Re: If Passcode is ennabled and screen curtain is on, is the Emergency button on the Passcode screen viewable by sighted helpers?

2015-03-16 Thread Agent086b
Hello,
to get to emergency press the home key. This will awake the phone. Now don’t
touch the home key again just tap the unlock button. Now you are where you
normally enter your pass code. Up the top of this screen in the middle there is
an emergency button. After pressing this you can then call your emergency
number.
Max.

probably fast enough that it isn't needed anyways,, but all that is there is
the usual status stuff, any uncleared notifications, and the unlock button
you would use if you want to type the code manually.

Hello, work the screen, Even if they were looking for the emergency button.
They would have to know how to turn off screen curtains so they can see the
 screen.

 Hi,
I have Passcode ennabled and screen curtain on. Just wondering if, in case
of an emergency that I wasn’t able to access my phone, would someone
providing sighted assistance be able to access the emergency button and
screen. I’m guessing sighted assistance may not know about screen curtain,
 etc.
 Thanks, Keith

I don't know. It might be a bug with VO or something, but for me also, raise to
speak for Siri has been removed from the settings as well. Maybe Sprint removed
that stuff?

The Emergency Button is present on my iPhone 6+ in the locked screen. I
wonder why it's not on the 6?
