RE: Siri quit saying things regarding sports

2020-10-16 Thread Richard Turner
If you are still having the problem, you may want to call Apple Accessibility.
It sorted itself out a couple of days ago.
You may of course want to reboot your phone first and see if that clears out
whatever the issue is, but Apple thinks it is a server issue for the source of
the sports info, rather than a Siri issue.
But it works great for me now.

As of today, Wednesday, and actually yesterday, Tuesday, siri began reporting
scores again.
Maybe a reboot?

Richard, I am having the same problem with siri that you are having. I have

I am not using the latest ios update, but am still having the problem.

RE: siri quit saying things regarding sports

2020-10-13 Thread Carolyn
A guy on Tech Talk says his "shiny little Android toy," announces.

With Siri bringing stuff up, plus going to Safari myself, a friend of mine told
me it would all be up there and I could delete them. I opened Safari, and sure
enough found all kind of stuff, which I deleted to the point that it asked me
if I wanted to delete all of them, and ai double tapped. I have no idea if it
makes a difference to be rid of all of that or not.

Apparently, there is a massive breakdown in smart devices.
I just ask Alexa what the score of the New Orleans Saints game was.
She gave me a score from a Sunday game against the Detroit Lions and said their
next game was Sunday October 25th... I have no idea what year Alexa was talking
about, but it ain't this year.

I asked Siri and got the Look what I found on the web answer, which is a
useless answer.
I then asked about the Dodgers game and got similar useless answers.

Hi,

This seems to be a problem with all the virtual assistants. Alexa will tell you
the score but won't tell you who scored, instead insisting that 'nobody has
scored a touchdown.' The saints-chargers game finished 30-27, that's a lot of
field goals.

RE: siri quit saying things regarding sports

2020-10-13 Thread Richard Turner

2020-10-12 Thread Holly
Marv:

Yes, lots of people have reported that Siri is not telling scores of games
either.

When I asked her to tell me the scores of yesterdays NFL games, she sent me to
the web. She used to always give a rundown of the latest scores, and also the
score of a certain game in real time.

I think others have reported the same problem with Google assistant and some
smart speakers.
