Siri is a lot later, around the time of the 5 I think.

I'm going to get the ootunes app, that sounds great and also the old time

concerned with iphones and also siri. How long as it been that the
accessibility with voice over has been in iphones? I was just curious, and

I remember the first iPhone on which I ever got to lay my hands was
definitely the 3G. Pradik Patel showed it to me one day by simply
handing me the phone and saying "have a play." No instructions, no
VoiceOver quick-start, just, here, see what you make of this. Of course,
not knowing anything about double-tapping, or even thinking that gesture
would do anything, I was totally lost and confused. So, like I usually
do with such things, I read a lot of posts from list members when the 4
came out, bought Anna Dresner's book on setting up the 4, bought the 4,
dove right in, and haven't come up yet!

Re: Who enjoys using ootunes and curious about voice over, the accessibility with the iphone

2018-04-03 Thread Arlene
That's really interesting, Tom. I didn't know some of this so that's why I
was curious too. Now about ootunes, is there a price for ootunes, and can
you get stations from all over the world?

I know that the first iPhone did not have much accessibility.
It wasn't until the iPhone 3G came out. I think that was the model. I
can't remember what year. I want to say around 2008 or 2009. Seri wasn't
originally part of Apple. I first used it as an app that you had to
download. It was real quirky but interesting. Then Apple bought up the
company that developed Seri and made it better, much better.

I'm going to get the ootunes app, that sounds great and also the old time
radio. You've made me curious about the history of where voice over is
concerned with iphones and also siri. How long as it been that the
accessibility with voice over has been in iphones? I was just curious, and
thinking that maybe voice over was in the first iphones. Did the first
iphone have siri in it? Thanks.

Re: Who enjoys using ootunes and curious about voice over, the accessibility with the iphone

2018-04-03 Thread Steve Matzura
