One thing you can do is hold the home button the entire time that you wish Siri
to listen to you, this should eliminate the problems you have with pausing. I
do agree that using dictation seems easier because you can
finished.

Okay, I've never used the Dictate feature, but just tried playing around with
it a little bit. How do you insert to whom you want the text message or email
sent to, before dictating your message into the edit / message field?
