First, I apologise that I'm not responding to the thread, but I've already trashed it ... and I can't even remember who wrote ... hence this message. I did an interesting thing this afternoon. I was playing a track and removed my headphones. The sound cut out. Although I did go through the reboot saga the first time around, I decided to try again and found something interesting ... I got a clue from the Control Centre where the particular app I was using was showing. I double clicked it, went to the file, selected the file again, then played successfully. It had become obvious to me that the file I was playing was no longer showing ... so when I pressed "Play" it didn't happen ... I wonder, therefore, if you may adopt a similar procedure if you pull headphones out again and, this time, ensure the file is showing again. Let me know if this works for you. Alternatively, I have decided to live with the inconvenience and actually stop the player before taking headphones out, then starting it again once the headphones are out, to see if that's an easier way around. If you respond to me with your thoughts and findings - or others respond as they're also having similar issues - I'll tell you the outcome of my next findings.
