A text file with an extension of .txt, is an ASCII plain text file, and what you read as links, are nothing more than text strings, in a plain text file. In other words, they are not active links, and cannot be acted upon. That's because they are in a text file. I have a text file with 26 links I need to use for a project. I put it into dropbox and voice dream reader, thinking that with at least one application I could activate each link from the text file. The phone says they are links, so I thought that double tapping on one would open it in safari and allow me access to the information. Wrong!
