If you already have an iPhone then learning the basics of how to use an Apple Watch will be pretty easy. You'll just need to pick up a few new gestures concerning the crown and the other button on the side, and you'll be off and running. The Apple Watch has a lot of features though, so it'll take you some time learning how to choose and setup your watch faces, try out the different apps and so on, but you'll find it productive pretty much right out of the box.
Whether you should get one or not will depend on what you'll be using it for and whether the extra convenience of having an Apple Watch is worth the cost.
