I have had this happen on several occasions, and it’s always because I somehow
turned off speech. So I suspect that is the problem.

I consider to purchase this beast. With the first gen watch I
struggled to do the setup because I could not find the way to hold the
watch over the specific place on my phone. The manual setup was quite
complicated. Has Apple made this process more streamline for blind
users?
