RE: Battery issues after updating to 13

After major updates there will always be more battery drain for a while. You
should first of all install 13.1 and make sure you close all apps first and if
you don't want to do a reset network settings, at least turn your phone off for
30 seconds or so and back on before doing the update. Then give it 4 or 5 days
and see how it does.

Subject: Battery issues after updating to 13

hello everyone,

Recently I updated my iPhone 10, Xr two version 13. Everything went well. I
don’t really seem to have any problems.

However, the biggest thing I have noticed is that my battery seems to drain
faster. I have always been impressed with the battery life of this phone. But
since I have done the update, my battery just doesn’t seem to hold up as well
as it used to do. I don’t know why this is.
Has anyone else noticed problems like this?

As far as I know, nothing has changed with my settings. I do have it on dark
mode. I don’t have my phone set to automatically lock, because I am picking it
up so often. I do lock it when I am not using it. But I have always had it set
this way. So this isn’t a new thing. I believe I do have background app refresh
on. But again, I have always had this on. So I am not sure what’s going on.
This is rather frustrating for me.

Usually, I pick up my phone several times throughout the day, and depending on
what I am doing of course, by the end of the day without a charge, my phone
might get down to about 60%. But in the last couple of days, without it having
a charge throughout the day, my phone has gotten under 60%, by the end of the
day. Maybe this isn’t as bad of a problem as I think it is. But it definitely
seems different to me. And I don’t like it.

What do you all think? Is anyone noticing anything similar?

Any thoughts or advice is much appreciated. I want my battery to last me a long
time if possible, and to work well for me. I depend on my phone pretty much all
the time. So I need it to hold up.

Thank you,

Terri
