I prefer the Edge because of the directional keys, they can be used in place of
single finger flicks. The limited note taking capabilities are very nice, and
the battery is long-lasting.
It has not been refreshed, but is a mostly stable device.

It pairs easily with an iPhone.
After 3 or 4 years, I had to send it in for repairs, and found that the mother
board needed to be replaced,
I have not use a braille edge. I do have and have used obviously, the
brailliant. It connects well. And I prefer its ergonomics to the hymns devices.
That is a personal choice. Of course, it has no notetaking ability, and I think
the braille edge has a little bit. I’ve only seen it, never

I used the VU20, the SmartBeetle14 and, the Braille Edge40 and, I found that
all three Braille displays worked well.
But, I found it quite a challenge to connect the VU20 so, I returned it.
