I like google maps walking directions transit mode. It took me a while to
figure out how to read the entire route before leaving my start point.

I would suggest the app places around. I have used this app on many ocassions
to find restruants, shopping, parks, museums etc before our vacations. The app
is fully accessible and POI's are seperated into categories for ease of
searching.
