Sorry you had to repeat the process of transferring your music to your computer
with iTunes. You should know that in the Apple world, iTunes content drives the
syncing process so you don't want to delete content you've placed on your
computer in iTunes even if you've synced it to
itunes library.itl

As to take full advantage of our iPhone's native music app, I'm
uploading albums onto my 5s (and making playlists out of these) that
aren't found on Spotify, but I didn't realize that when you import to
ITunes, you shouldn't delete them off the computer, because as happened
last night, ITunes
