One way to do this is to add the "containers" item to your rotor, then move the
rotor to it, then flick up or down.
settings / accessibility / voiceover / rotor
The left hand side and right hand side of the ipad are usually separate
containers as in the Mail app. Many apps on the ipad us

When opening a mail with arrow-up-down or doubble tap the only thing often
happening is that te mail seems to be selected,I know the mail is open on the
right side of the screen as it should but the VO cursor stays in the list of
read and unread mails insted of focussing the textbody.
