Yes, this is a known problem with IOS 8. I see it most in the Mail app,
where touching on the delete button and double tapping will bring up the
reply dialog or touching the previous or next buttons and double tapping
won't produce the desired action. The focus works fine with the flick
left
I always thought that was me tapping reply when I meant to tap delete.

Sometimes, when I try to press the back button at the upper left-hand corner of
the message, I end up being bounced to the compose button. When this happens,
I may unavoidably find myself opening a blank message.

touch the first icon on my home screen, and get jumped to my dock right as I
double-tap, so that I end up opening the wrong app.
