I'm using the air, and I'm only getting a 50 percent charge from it. I
have tried 2 cases with the same result. Is it just my bad luck or is
this the case with all mofi cases that were designed for the 5 using
the 5S?

I think the 5s may pull more power since it has a faster processor. I would go
for the plus version, it's the most powerful case they make. In my opinion,
these are the best iphone cases you can get. They extend the battery life and
you can use a micro USB cable to charge both batteries instead
