Re: New iPad owner with questions

2023-03-23 Thread Anna Dresner
Hello Wayne,

Locking the orientation isn’t a VoiceOver feature, so you can absolutely have
it set differently on the two devices. On both, you lock the orientation in
Control Center. The phone can only be locked in portrait, while the iPad can be
locked in either one. Just go into the orientation you want, open Control
Center, and lock it.

Best,
Anna

New iPad owner with questions

2023-03-22 Thread Wayne Merritt
Hi. I bought an iPad Air 5th Generation today. I have been using VoiceOver for
many years on the iPhone, but don't have much mileage on the iPad. I think my
main question so far is this. I know that one's VoiceOver and other settings
migrate between devices and iCloud. While this is good on paper, is it possible
to make settings changes on the iPad that are different from the settings I
have on my iPhone? An example is the screen orientation. I have it set to
portrait on my phone, but want to experiment with landscape on the iPad with
the larger screen.

Kind regards,
