Well, I hope this issue gets fixed even though I'm not experiencing this issue on my iPhone X. I am on the beta so I wonder if that's why I'm not experiencing this issue. Also I wonder if this is a VO bug because Mark said the collapse button worked when he disabled VoiceOver. Maria Reyes

Mike, probably because most developers either don't know ablind person using the iPhone, or because they don't or couldn't imagine how a blind person could use iOS. IN their case, they just don't know, nothing intentional. As for when the update for the fix may come, it's anyone's guess. However
