Well, I hope this issue gets fixed even though I'm not experiencing this issue
on my iPhone X. I am on the beta so I wonder if that's why I'm not experiencing
this issue. Also I wonder if this is a VO bug because Mark said the collapse
button worked when he disabled VoiceOver.

Mike, probably because most developers either don't know ablind person
using the iPhone, or because they don't or couldn't imagine how a
blind person could use iOS. IN their case, they just don't know,
nothing intentional. As for when the update for the fix may come, it's
anyone's guess. However
So how long do you all think it'll be before YouTube sends out an update that
will fix this screw up?
I don't see why app developers just don't put their IPhone's in voice over
mode, put on a blindfold and gesture away; to make darn well sure, their
updates are voice over compatible before they
Hello,
I have an iPhone6s and I am having this problem now too. After a day
of use, double tapping on the collapse video button does nothing and I
am not able to find a close button anywhere on screen.

I have the latest iOS update on my SE that I purchased last summer. I am
experiencing the same problems too! Very frustrating, and I did get with
YouTube and file my concerns and complaints! This is horrible! But typical!

newer.

I agree. At this point all we can do is report the bug and wait for Youtube to
fix the problem. The only common element I have noticed so far is that all the
people that are having the problem are using iPhone 8 or 8 plus.

Yes, it's true.
I didn't have this issue, but now it's real to me.
I will wait for an update, if not get resolved, I'm going to report the

Hello Mario,
You know what? You're correct.
Yesterday, after reinstalling the YouTube app, all worked as expected. Today,
after rebooting my 8 Plus, the VoiceOver Collapse Video button is no longer
working as expected. This is to say, it is no longer working when VoiceOver is
running.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling the YouTube app and it works the first
time and then stops working, just like before. I tried deleting and
reinstalling 3 different times. It was driving me crazy and I actually
restored my phone, reinstalled the iOS and still no success. I am using an
