Check to see if your connection is running in "Low Data mode." If so, change it.

Eva,
I'm curious what the status bar tells you about your wifi connection and the
number of bars you're getting. Also, if I want to quickly prod my wifi, I open
the control center by placing focus on the status bar, doing a 3-finger swipe
up, swiping to airplane mode and turning it on then off

oops, I didn’t realize that my message was in the subject line. I did check
the network and the other things that use my Wi-Fi are running fine. So I don’t
quite understand what’s going on. It’s like only the phone is having problems.
And I have like I said check the network settings and
Hi Jen. Yes I forgot to mention that I did try resetting the network settings
and nothing happened. So I’m kind of at a loss. No my computer does not work
either so it’s got to be something with the router I would think! Thank you for
your help

Eva,
I would check your WiFi network first if you have anything else using WiFi.
It may be as simple as unplugging the router, waiting about 30 seconds,
plugging it back in.
Otherwise, Jen's suggestion to reset network settings may be necessary.
Also, your entire message was in the subject line.
The only thing I can think of doing is reset network settings on your phone.
Does your computer work? Go to settings then to general then to reset. Now go
to reset network settings. This will not erase all of your data but you will
have to enter your wifi password again. Hope this helps.helps.
