RE: Problems with the Walmart App

2021-12-09 Thread bentleyj1952
Walmart just can't leave their web site or their iPhone App alone. They have
constantly changed it around twice a year for years now.

Every change, I loose some functionality. I recently placed an order with my
iPhone instead of my Windows 10 PC. I would love to be able to tell every one
exactly how I managed. But, by the time I got the order placed, I had no idea
as to what steps I would need to reccomend. It can be done if you are willing
to go through many many, more swipes than before.

One step forward for us. Three steps back. Again and again. What a massive
headache.

Sorry for the rant.

I know the Walmart app can now often be way more difficult, but I have managed
to play around and find the product details and nutrition information. If I
open the particular product screen, then put my finger on the screen to make
sure I am where I think I am, and then swipe up from the bottom with three
fingers twice, I very often get to where I can flick through the nutrition
information and then come to the product details.

Carolyn and all:

Have you tried using the Picture Smart feature in JAWS?

It can analyze a picture and read the text in the picture and tell you what it
is. It can describe the picture also.

Here is a link to info about how to use it.

2021-12-09 Thread Donna Casteen
Hi,

I don't know if this suggestion will help or not, but what do you have to lose?
Turn the rotor & make sure that "Describe Images" is turned on. If this feature
is not in the rotor, go to settings, accessibility, voiceover & swipe down to
rotor & add it. It is my experience that in some cases screen shots & images
with text will be read by voiceover if the feature is on.

Subject: Problems with the Walmart App

Hello everyone,

As many of you probably know, a while back a major update was done to the
Walmart App. I think some of the changes were good.

However, as with most things, some were not. In some ways, I now find the App a
bit more difficult to use.

For instance, when I would be ordering groceries, I sometimes like to
click on a particular item, and read the details on it. Or especially
read the nutrition information.

However, I can no longer seem to be able to do this. I think I may know
why, thanks to something a friend told me.

Apparently, instead of having tabs that I could view, to see either the
details, or nutrition facts, it is all now photos. Of course, this isn't
at all helpful if you are totally blind.

So is there possibly anything I can do about this?

I am not one to complain to a company, really. I haven't ever reached
out to a developer about their App. I don't know really how to begin to
express why this is a problem, in a way that might be helpful.

Is this something that I possibly should do?

If so, what are some ways I should go about it?

I would really like to hear from some of you who have a lot more
experience with this.

Also, if I don't reach out regarding the App, is there possibly a way to
view the information that might be in any of the product photos? Some
way that won't be complicated, and add a bunch more steps, to just
trying to get groceries ordered?

Any thoughts, and help is much appreciated.

Thank you,

Terri

Problems with the Walmart App

2021-12-09 Thread Terri Stimmel

Hello everyone,

As many of you probably know, a while back a major update was done to
the Walmart App. I think some of the changes were good.

However, as with most things, some were not. In some ways, I now find
the App a bit more difficult to use.

Thank you,

Terri
