It sounds like the iPhone is filling up a space called other. What you should
do is connect the phone to the computer, open up iTunes and press the iPhone
button when your phone is connected. It may take a few seconds to come up.

Quite a while back, I asked on here why my phone's space was low, when
it didn't seem as though it should be. Someone from here was kind enough
to help me out. Unfortunately I lost the message with the detailed
instructions they gave me.
