Hi, Terri.
I suspect the issue is with SIRI announcing notifications while the
screen is locked.
To fix this go to settings, Accessibility, then to SIRI.
In this menu is a button that says Announce Notifications On Speaker.
If it says on, double tap it to turn it off.
This will keep SIRI from speaking notifications while your screen is
locked. You'll still get your sounds, though.

Hello everyone,
Since the latest IOS update, I have been having a small issue. I do
not know how to fix it.
I receive a lot of notifications on my phone, as I am sure many of us do.
However, now when I get a notification, and my screen is locked,
instead of just getting the notification sound, I get the announcement
of the notification, as well. Eventually, the phone does lock again.
What can I do to stop this from happening?
I don't expect this to be perfect, as sometimes the phone just gets a
bit chatty. But this is new, and just a bit annoying. Especially, when
I am in class. Most of the time my volume is down, and most people
don't know what my phone is saying anyway. But still, I would like to
not have this issue, if at all possible.
What do you all think?
Is it possible to fix this?
Thank you,
Terri
