The screen will lock on its own, so you can just leave it alone. I usually put
my hand over the screen to lock it just to make sure the message gets sent and
nothing else happens, but it will do it on its own as well.

So there's no way to do it completely hands free?
I mean if I've got to press the digital crown to lock the screen then I might
as well press it and say send lol at least this way I get a message saying it
was sent.

question about messages on Apple Watch 6 was RE: Dismissing Apple Watch Update complete message

2020-12-29 Thread Johna Gravitt
Hi,
I'm curious about sending messages on the watch. I can dictate a message in
the app or with Siri but when Siri asks if I want to send it and I say yes, it
just says "ok, I'll send this" and just sits there until I actually press the
digital crown and say "send"
Also, any idea why Siri doesn't read the message that I dictate back to me?
Thanks,
Johna

2020-12-29 Thread Deb Cook Lewis
Oh gosh, I did everything in the world except that I guess. I did try to get to
the notification center etc.

Hi there. If you want to completely rid yourself of that update complete dialog
on the watch, you do a 2 finger swipe up until you get to the end of that
dialog, you will then find that “OK” button.

I hope this helps.

Yikes. I thought there was a long thread on this but I’ve apparently deleted it
think it didn’t apply to me. So my watch updated last night and I cannot get
rid of the update complete screen. I even did a hard reset which I thought did
it, but no luck. I can turn vO on and off with the crown but otherwise the
crown and power button seem to perform no functions and the update won’t
dismiss. The watch appears to be functioning normally otherwise. There’s just
no dismiss button.
