You guys may need to report this or ask accessibil...@apple.com. That’s where
they told me it was.

In that section look for a timeout time slider.

Hello everyone, I have looked in the assistive touch menu instead of cast and
actions and finding custom gestures and I have not found the time out button
that you have been talking about.

What you need to do is in this section try to find the timeout slider that’s
what is important.

JimSo if you go in that same area try going to the Iddle oCapacity setting.
Now the kicker here is trying to figure out what setting works for each
individual phone the 5s’s work at 0.40 but the iPhone 7’s may not. You may
have to fool around with that setting to get it to work correctly.
Scott, I am using an iPhone 7 plus. IOS 11.02.
Thanks.

Jim,
If you don’t mind me asking what version of phone are you on and I’ll get back
with you.

Keep playing with this setting maybe depending on the phone each phone may
require a different setting. Try increasing the value. Please keep me
informed so that I can let Apple know.

I thought it was the "Idle Opacity" that should be set. Mine was already set to
40. I am trying this, but no luck. The first announcement I got read, but
subsequent ones have not. I even rebooted the phone.
I hope someone can figure it out and get it to work!

This sounds promising and possibly very helpful, but after turning on
Assistive Touch, I have Customize Top Level menu, a setting called
Idle Opacity, and Create New Gesture. I cannot find a custom
actions menu.
I wonder where it might be hidden?

This is extremely useful info, Scott.
Thank you.
