I read that about the three minutes. However with a curbside drop off, I do not leave the car. Still not sure how this would totally work out. I may see. One thing to note with Lyft, not sure about Uber. You have up to 3 minutes to do your things inside and then your ride will leave. Yes, I've used them both for that purpose. You are correct, you set your destination as where ever you're getting picked up and add a stop which would be to the vet or where ever you want to go.
