Yes.
Go into Settings, Double tap on your name at the top.
Flick right to iCloud and double tap.
Flick right a whole lot of times to iCloud backup and turn it off.
And, while you are in there, you can turn off any or all of the apps using
iCloud that you do not want syncing across devices.
