The Danny Boy stand is very flimsy and fragile and it cost 34-39 dollars, can’t
recall exactly.

The DannyBoy is fine, just a bit more fragile and not quite so easy to pack for

Well, I am a huge fan of the Fopydo scanning stand. But, I think he has run
into issues with his local post office so that he no longer can ship free
matter.

I'll not voice my opinion of that post office ... but you may want to check
with the NFB Store.

I do not have that link handy, but I believe he was going to work with them
because they could buy in bulk and ship free matter.

I was a beta tester when he was designing the stand.

Its my favorite.

Another one that is pretty good, but $39.99 or so, is the one sold through
Blind Mice Mega Mall, the Dannyboy stand.

It could be that he is on the road with his main job.
He does the stands more as a weekend project when he can as he charges
basically what he pays for the parts.
Have you checked with the NFB store?
I have no personal connection other than really liking the stand.

I like the Fopydo stand because it is simple, effective, and inexpensive.
It is made from corrugated plastic and will take any smart phone and even an
iPad Mini.
I dislike the Giraffe Reader because it is built for only one size phone, so if
you change phones you have to replace the stand and it is way more expensive
than the others.
The Fopydo also folds flat.
The DannyBoy is fine, just a bit more fragile and not quite so easy to pack for
carrying from one place to another, but is fine if you use it always in the
same place.

Well, I am a huge fan of the Fopydo scanning stand. But, I think he has run
into issues with his local post office so that he no longer can ship free
matter.
I'll not voice my opinion of that post office ... but you may want to check

I do not have that link handy, but I believe he was going to work with them

Another one that is pretty good, but $39.99 or so, is the one sold through
Blind Mice Mega Mall, the Dannyboy stand.
