Ricardo and Others, I recently acquired a 4S, which I LOVE. However, I have not had any luck in syncing the ringtones that I made myself within iTunes to my phone. I check the Tones box, select my ringtones that I want to sync, and they just never make it to the phone...or, I should say, if they do, I don't know where they are because they are not listed with the rest of the ringtones. Am I doing something wrong, or is this something that Apple put a stop to in their latest version of iTunes? Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks, Carrie

You can do it within iTunes. I am finally eligible to upgrade, so a 4S could be in my immediate future, and I'm curious if anyone on here has used that smartrecord app to make ringtones and, if so how you did it. I've read various descriptions of how to make ringtones on this list, and all of them sounded rather complicated. My music collection is all on a Mac, and I don't have any extra applications such as audacity or amadeus pro having never seen the need for any such. But I would like to be able to make ringtones and would like to do it without having to do things such as use a pc and then somehow get the tones either to my Mac for importation on to the phone or purchase and learn a whole new app just to make ringtones. So I was intrigued by the reference in the smartrecord app description. This sounds like a really good app anyway, so the ability to do ringtones would be a bonus. > > Mary > > Mary Otten > motte...@gmail.com > > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group. > To search the VIPhone public archive, visit http://www.mail-archive.com/viphone@googlegroups.com/. > To post to this group, send email to viphone@googlegroups.com. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to viphone+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/viphone?hl=en. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
