A long time ago, I was able to email ringtones. I can't recall the exact
instructions. I believe I just found the file and sent it as an attachment. It
was super easy for the recipient to open the attachment and then it
automatically went into iTunes.

Isaac,
You can certainly send somebody custom ringtones you create, but they would
have to add them to their Tones library in iTunes and sync them to their
device. It is not possible to email or text somebody a ringtone and for that
person to save it to their list of ringtones all from the
The only way I've been able to send a ringtone is to attach it to an
email and for this I needed to use my laptop.
If there's a way to do it with only the phone, I would be interested in knowing.

Hi Scott,
If you give the ringtones to your wife on a USB stick or, if your computers
are networked, copy them into her ringtones folder in iTunes Media, she can
then select them and sync them to her phone. The main thing is to get them
from your ringtones folder into her ringtone folder.
Hello Seaguard just wanted to find out are you saying that if you use the same
