When sending text messages, if you don't have the recipient(s) in
Contacts, separate the telephone numbers or email addresses with a
semicolon. I got caught out by this just this past weekend. Every time I
typed a telephone number and pressed ENTER (on my Mac) to add that phone

I use Siri for this. Just say send message to person A and Person B and person
C. If you are going to be sending messages to the same group frequently, you
might want to create a group.
