Now, here’s where I run into the shortcut problem in Tuner Radio pro. As
I said, I had to manually create the station info by putting in the url IP

  Thanks.

Oh, for the person who wants to just tell Siri to read the newspaper in
NFB newsline. First I think that Newsline would need to support Siri
shortcuts. I stand to be corrected since I’m just learning this new feature.

Even if this would work, you probably would need to be able to point Siri
to the particular section that you would want to read. Just my beginner

Hi Julie,

It’s the Blindside podcast.

Now, here’s where I run into the shortcut problem in Tuner Radio pro. As
I said, I had to manually create the station info by putting in the url IP
address and then made it a favorite.

When I go into trying to create the shortcut, I don’t see the station. I
can see one other favorite station, but not this particular one.

Thanks.

Oh, for the person who wants to just tell Siri to read the newspaper in
NFB newsline. First I think that Newsline would need to support Siri
shortcuts. I stand to be corrected since I’m just learning this new
feature.

Even if this would work, you probably would need to be able to point Siri
to the particular section that you would want to read. Just my beginner
thoughts.

Re: Siri shortcut Query

2018-10-02 Thread Paul Parravano
I’d love to know how you get Siri to open an app? I would like to have Siri
open NFB newsline, and begin reading “my newspaper”. Any thought on how to do
this please?

Also, I’d love to set a shortcut that will do the iPhone steps for pairing with
my braille display. I realize that you need to prep the braille device for
pairing, but it would be nice to have the phone do it’s prep with a shortcut.

Thanks for any suggestions on if and how these two tasks can get done.

Paul

Subject: Siri shortcut Query

I listened to Jonathan's podcast where he discussed Siri shortcuts and
Tuner Radio Pro.

I manually put in a station and made a favorite out of it. I was able
to perform a Siri shortcut for a couple of popular stations. But I'm
stuck on being able to use a shortcut to play this station.

This app rocks by the way. Thanks.

Re: Siri shortcut Query

2018-10-02 Thread Mary Otten
It should work if you just invoke Siri and say whatever word or words you
attached to the shortcut. So you might’ve use the call letters for your radio
station for instants. That’s how they work for me. Somebody reported somewhere
that the stations wouldn’t come up voiceover was active. The audio was muted. I
have not had that happen.
