The speaker is on the front of the display. It is the same speaker as the
speaker that phone calls are routed through.

The new phones can play lower frequencies through the speakers as well. I have
an app that plays some melodies that sound more or less like music boxes. On
the iPhone 7, I played one of these, and it has a bass line that was completely
inaudible on previous phones.

As far as feel, the 7 is just like the 6. If you had a Plus model, then that
will feel the same as well, except for an extra camera on the back of the
phone. As for sound, it is like listening to a stereo.

The 7 has much better sound quality than the 6s Plus over the speakers. It's
clearer, fuller, and louder.
