I feel silly asking this question but I can’t work out how I might transfer my
photos and videos from my iPhone to my mac. I’ve got a few snaps and a few
short videos in the foto app on my iphone but I can’t work out how to get onto
my mac. I tried air drop but to no effect. My phone
Did you open the airdrop window on your Mac before trying to use airdrop on the
iPhone?
I have never tried to do what you are doing, but I know that AirDrop will not
work unless the airdrop window for your Mac is open before you initiate the
process.

OK you could could set up iCloud if you’ve not already done that!
Or when your iPhone is connected to your Mac in iTunes12 select the iPhone
button then tab to the playlist and interact with it then arrow down to the 1st
photos option [there should be another after it says on my device]

Yes, and after you copy them to the computer, you can delete them using the

I've done this many times before with no trouble. I had about 60 photos and 7
videos in my camera on the iPhone. It took about an hour to copy that, which
was the first problem. It shouldn't have taken that long. the videos were
less than a minute for each.
