Nearby Explorer was
Nearby Explorer was definitely the best GPS app for getting location
information. It’s a shame that development of that app was discontinued. I
would say the two best apps for that now are Blindsquare and Good Maps
Outdoors. For navigation I think Google Maps is one of the best choices.

What navigation/GPS apps are you using these days?
I tried Lazarillo and didn’t find it as good as I’d remembered when it
first came out. That’s purely subjective. I felt the directions and
general awareness weren’t consistent, but again, just a me thing.
