Hey, that's an absolutely fantastic idea! And you could probably make it even better by sewing it to fit over the entire unit like a shower cap, so nothing gets dirty--not just the Braille cells. My sister- in-law sews; maybe I'll ask her to whip me up some covers for my BrailleNote PK,

the Braille Sense U2 has a removable battery pack. It's lithium Ion and those things have a pretty long shelf life, but after 5 years, they are starting to wear thin. I could also probably take the battery module over to Batteries Plus and have them rebuild it. That will cost about $80 or so.

I think every display gets problems with its cells after a few years. They either need to be cleaned or in worst case replaced. I have had my brailliant for nearly 6 years now and it has been cleaned twice, no cells replaced and the cells are still good. But because your fingers go over the
