Yes and I have done this on many occasions. However my results seem to be somewhat random. That is the arrangement of my apps is not always precisely what I intended, and almost never what I intended if I am dealing with a full home screen. I guess what I long for is a more predictable way of

You don't have to move icons into folders. You can simply stop moving them and lift your finger when you reach a position you want to leave them on. You can switch pages by moving the icon in a straight line horizontally to the edge of the screen and waiting for a page change to be announced.

Hi. Is there an easier way to move apps into folders on my iphone besides dragging them around the screen? That takes me hours, literally, and it's frustratingly slow. I have itunes for windows, but when I see my apps, I just see a huge list of them, nothing is organized into the folders I did
