hi, Assuming you have your phone set to portrait locked, when in a nap, with other apps open as well, turn your phone to landscape and try the gesture moving for fingers from top to bottom or bottom to top. this was how I first got successful with the gesture and now can use it with the phone in any position. sometimes, it helps to touch the middle of the screen first, to ensure the children the content of the app. but I’m not sure this is necessary. One word of warning, with the latest update, if you go past the first open app, you may get thrown back onto the home screen. One final point, my hands are reasonably small and I am using an iPhone 6, whereas, when I use the same gesture on my old for S, it can be more difficult to achieve.
