Sorry to add in that you can just change the M4R into a M4A and it will play in 
most media players

Try hitting the spacebar after iTunes opens on that ringtone.
If that doesn't work, hit shift+10 if you are using Windows, and select play or 
arrow down to the Open With dialog and pick another program.
Often on Windows 10, Groove, Music is a default music player that you can pick.

Try hitting the spacebar after iTunes opens on that ringtone.
If that doesn't work, hit shift+10 if you are using Windows, and select play or
