Hello everyone,
I have some questions regarding the iPhone voices. I am not trying to
possibly start something here by asking these questions. I would just
honestly like to know peoples thoughts on the matter.
Alright, for quite a while I used the voice of Alex. It seemed the
clearest to me

Your not the only one. Still my favorite until this day. All the

Lol no, you're not. :) I was starting to think it was just me, too! I can't
stand HQ Samantha! She has too many weird up/down inflections for my taste. She
reminds me somewhat of the Ivona or Acapela voices. I used to use compact
Karen, but she's changed somewhat in iOS 9 or 10, and I don't
No, you're not. I still use good old Samantha myself. LOL!

Hello,
I usually use Tom on my iPhone. I would like to use Alex but he has one problem
that really bothers me. If a word is in all caps he spells it out rather than
reading the word. This makes it difficult to read twitter and sometimes it
makes it difficult to read emails.

Greg
Hi I like and use Alex because he is suitable for my hearing impairment which
is profound in one and modewrately severe in the other. I use him on all
supported devices.

I just got a 5S to replace my 5 at work, which was coming apart due to a
swelling battery. The thing I like most about the 5S is that I can use
Ava. On my PC where I'm running JAWS, I prefer Zoey over Ava, but I
don't think Zoey is an option on the iPhone.

Hi,
I like tom the best. He is more clear than Alex to a degree. He is also a bit
louder therefore a little better to understand in some situations. Alex is my
next favorite then Ava.
Thanks,
Jenn

I have Alex on my Ipad, and Daniel on my phone. Why? Well because I
do like Alex's clear voice, but I also dearly love the British voice
and accent, plus, and I know this is goofy but I can't help it, he
sounds a lot like the guy who played Mr. Carson on Downton Abbey.
Ok, I'm nuts, I'll admit
Hi since we have A number of voices now to select that the iPhone has now.

Hi,
I just now updated my IPhone to IOS 7. The voice seems to have dropped in
quality. Where do I determine if I'm using the compact voice or the high
quality voice?
Thanks

There are potentially two places to check. First, Settings - General -
Accessibility - Voice Over On and look for the Use compact voice
setting. This should be toggled to off if you want to use the high
quality voices.
Also, continue on into Languages and Dialects and double tap on your
