If you're tied to Outlook, I don't have any suggestions. If you can
switch to Gmail, I use a program called GSyncit to mirror contacts
between my PC and my iPhone. The program also syncs calendar entries
and notes.

The only other idea to delete easier is if your contacts are synced to your mac
or PC. Then maybe you can delete from your computer quicker. I don’t even know
if you can access your iCloud contacts on a PC. I know you can on a Mac.
