They said in the meeting that if you try to use the Siri voice as your main
voice invoice over it would slow the phone down drastically. I guess it’s not
meant for that yet. :-) Hope that helps

Voices are very subjective, but while the American Siri female voice is an
excellent voice, I've never found any of the Siri voices to work well with
VoiceOver. They are sluggish at best.
I personally prefer Tom Enhanced. I think that voice makes fewer pronunciation
errors than Alex.
