Hi, Everyone,
I guess to each his/her own! I personally like the larger phone and have a 7+.
When I have to type a long message, I use a Bluetooth keyboard, and sometimes
I dictate as well. When I first bought my 7+, I wasn't sure how I would handle
the larger screen, but I really like it.
Just FYI, backtap works fine on my iPhone 8 which has a home button.

You do not have to have any light in the room for Facial ID. The phone's
screen's light works for it.

one thing to consider is the new Back Tap feature. If you have a newer
phone without a home button, you could get the Back Tap double and
triple taps to activate the home screen and bring up the app switcher.
This would be a way around for anyone who has anxiety with the lack of
a home button.
Face Id works in total darkness.

I don't know
I can see how for a hearing impaired person this might make a small difference,
but personally I don't care all that much, I find even my iPhone 8 sounds quite
good for audio books if you are in a fairly quiet place and have the phone
nearby. Otherwise I usually use a headset or Bluetooth
I have also heard rumours about a touch id and face id phone in one,
But that rumour also said it was being looked at for 2021 not the iPhone 12 /
2020 models.
However no one but apple knows.

I use my 11 pro max with face id at night and no lights and it works fine for
me.
As I've said before
You really need to go to a local store and have them demonstrate the different
phones to you so you can both feel them for size / feel,
And also get them to turn voiceoer on and let you see
Well, you shouldn’t have long to wait to find out. There may have been articles

haven’t seen anything from the usual sources of rumors that talked about touch

I just don’t think so.

I thought I saw some kind of article about the iPhone 12, that
mentioned some kind of touch ID along with the face ID. Kind of like
you could choose which you preferred. I could have been wrong about
that though.

What poor battery performance?
I’ve got one I have as a spare and it’s battery life is great.

Yeah and either way they are great phones.
I think at this time I'll be waiting though to see what comes out in 2021,
Gives me time to save and also apple time to get things setup and working
without the plague to contend with.

I don’t think there has to be a lot of light in the room for face ID. I say
that because I can use it if I am in bed at night with no lights on, at least
none that I’m aware of, in the bedroom. So if it’s dark at night, and there are
no lights, then I guess that must mean Face ID doesn’t need
I don't know how I'd feel with no home button. I wouldn't like face
ID either. Doesn't there have to be a lot of light in the room or
something. My room is pretty dark so maybe face ID wouldn't work.

It is hard to realize that you've had your phone three months, Gera. It almost
seems like I've had my 11 no longer than that, but I got mine Januar 3.

The SE sounds every bit as good as the 11, and as good or better than the 8
plus.
I do not have access to the max phones, but I doubt their sound would be enough
better to warrant the extra cost.

I have always preferred bigger phones. They feel nicer in the hand and
are just normally a little better on battery. Even using the screen on
a bigger phone normally just feels better.

I think screen size is a matter of preference, and just because one blind
person doesn't see a use for a larger screen doesn't mean there won't be other
blind people who would prefer it. I have an iPhone 7 from my employer and my

And again it’s an each to their own on what size of phone people want / like to
use.
I have an iPhone 11 pro max,
I would have got the iphone 11 but they didn’t have it in stock when I went to
purchase one.
That’s why I think going in to a store and having a feel of the physical

I don’t know why any blind people would want the really massive phones either.
But I will say that I have appreciated the extra battery life in the 10Rand
even in my 7+, before it got iOS 14 and drains faster than it used to. It’s
worth it to me to get the plus size phone to get the extra
I never understood why people who are blind would want the large plus
phones either. My Iphone 8 is small enough to fit into my pocket or
into a small zippered leather bag where one pocket is for my iPhone,
and the other fits a portable charger. An iPhone with 512 gigs would
be very cool though,
I could not agree more. That big is not important to a totally blind person. I
have a life-long friend, always has been very smart. When I got my SE, her
daughter got her to get a 7 plus. That poor woman was all over that phone,
finally gave it up and is using, of all things, a Blind Shell now.
In my very biased opinion as a totally blind person; having a larger screen is
not helpful.
The Max phones are huge!
the iPhoneSE 2020 is a fine phone. I like mine very much.
I also liked the iPhone 11 I had for work.
You need to decide what features you want.
The main difference between the 11,
I think a lot of people will recommend that you get the new iPhone SE with a
home button and touch Id, but ultimately I think you should take a look at the
various phones at your Apple Store.
For one thing you wouldn't have to go to an iPhone 11 Pro Max, the iPhone 11 is
a great phone and
