Re: "Heading not found" when it should be in the music app

2016-09-20 Thread Mary Otten
Yes, this behavior does seem to be present there as well, although not as
badly, at least for me. I went there, I got through one heading, then got the
heading not found. Once I flipped right into the section and then flipped down
to find more headings, the rest of them were found. Not great. But not a
showstopper. Still, I'm sure it's related, so it's time to report this want to
Apple as well.

2016-09-20 Thread Wayne Merritt
I've seen the same heading navigation issue in the For You tab, where I'm told
there are no headings after a certain point. But when I flick through the
different sections, each section starts with a heading. This is on an iPhone 7
with iOS 10.

RE: "Heading not found" when it should be in the music app

2016-09-17 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
That is definitely buggy, I used to be able to turn the rotor to headings and
go to a particular letter in the alphabet this way with my library set to
artists or albums. Now it goes 2 or 3 or 4 letters, e.g. I may get to go from A
to B to C and then it says heading not found. If I select an artist that starts
with C I can again flick to D and E and then again "heading not found".

Also, yes, the table index is there on the very right side on my 6S Plus, but
Richard is correct, you have to flick up to go from A to B to C etc. I'll
definitely report this to Apple Accessibility.

Regards,
Sieghard

I have found the following to be true on both my iPhone 6s and my iPad mini
two. This is running iOS 10. If you open the music app you are placed in my
library. Go to artists. In the phone, that's easy, just double tap on the
artists button. On the iPad, you have to deal with a pop up. But once you're
there, you will have a listing in a long column of all of the artists in your

Re: "Heading not found" when it should be in the music app

2016-09-16 Thread Richard Turner

Hi Mary,
I reported this through the beta feedback within the first couple weeks of the
beta coming out.
If you noticed, the table index, when you can find it, is upside down.
Once you get into the table index, you flick up with one finger to go from a to
b, etc.
Also reported.
Richard

artists button. On the iPad, you have to deal with a pop up. But once you're
there, you will have a listing in a long column of all of the artists in your
library. they are in alphabetical order, and each letter of the alphabet is a
heading, a, B, C, etc. However, if you try to navigate by heading by setting
the appropriate item in the rotor and flicking down, you are unhelpfully
informed that there aren't any headings. On the phone, I couldn't find the
table index at all. On my iPad, I did a three finger flick up to the second
page of artist listings, and found a table index there, which worked. But I
would frankly preferred to just flick I headings. I wonder why this is not
working. Seems like it should.
