Re: How do you ensure that Voiceover’s turned on so you can set up a new IPad?

2019-03-27 Thread Richard Turner

normally, the accessibility shortcut is set to VoiceOver out of the box. So he
should try triple clicking the home button once he has it powered up.
If he isn't sure that it powered up, he should just plug it into the charger
and wait a few seconds after he hears a tone.

Hi all

Hoping someone can help with this, as I’m asking on behalf of a friend. He has
a brand new IPad Mini being delivered to his home on Friday. He’s a voiceover
user (no sight at all). So, when he gets the IPad out of the box how can he
turn Voiceover on so he can go through the set-up process/know what he’s doing
and what’s going on? He doesn’t really want to go into a shop unless he really
has to, as that’s quite a trek for him. So if there’s a way he can turn VO on
so he can do the set-up himself at home that’d be great.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks.
